A nostalgic and rare example of period advertising and marketing .... " Free sample-no charge" .... appears on the bottom and edge - sample tins are unique and rare.

The tin is approximately 3.25 in in diameter - there is some wear, scratches to the surface, and bowing to the top and bottom. To my eye, these are not detractions, but a confirmation that this is a vintage tin with a remarkably well preserved surface.

The biscuits are long gone, but the tin remains as a sweet time capsule from a bygone period.

The incidental - the McVite & Prices firm originated in Scotland in the 1880's.
