Amazing late 1800s to early 1900s hand painted brooch. The pin stem extends beyond the end of the brooch, this is noted in jewelry from the Victorian era. The pin stem has a very slight bend in it and it is fully functional with a C clasp closure. There are no cracks in the porcelain. There is a tiny dimple in the area that is yellow, this is not a defect. This is in the porcelain and it was painted this way.
Brass back with claw prongs.
Victorian ladies would get together and hand paint these in their parlors in the late 1800s.

This brooch is larger than most of this time period.

Measures 2" long by 1.5" wide.

Great heirloom piece.
