Ichthyosaurs were giant marine reptiles that lived from 250 million years ago to around 90 million years ago (existing just before dinosaurs came about and going extinct before the dinosaurs). They are commonly associated with being an extinct version of dolphins based on the way they look, but unlike dolphins (mammals) Ichytosaurs were reptiles like snakes and crocodiles. Later versions of Ichthyosaurs are characterized by their disproportionately large eye to body size ratio.

This tiny handmade plush was created using a combination of gray and pale green colored fleece with white felt for its teeth and is stuffed with polyfil. The body is approximately 6 inches long and 1.5 inches wide (not including fins).

**NOTE** This plush is cute, but is intended as a display piece rather than a cuddle toy for babies or small children. The teeth on this plush are somewhat delicate and could come off if enough force is applied. For adults or mature children only please.
