From the Lobi tribe in Burkina Faso, Africa, this unusual tribal fish amulet made in the lost wax method is suspended from a necklace combining Turquoise rondelles, nuggets and rounds, a pair of handmade Nepalese repoussee' brass beads set with Turquoise, and Banded Agate in shades of beige, gray and black.

The amulet - about 2 5'8" long - is 3-dimensional. In Burkina Faso, among the Lobi , spirit beings are believed to live in water-dwellers such as fish and crocodiles.
