A fantastic, signed brutalist metal wall hanging by mid-century ‘artist’ Curtis Jere. (See Wikipedia for a nice overview of the origin of the C. Jere name, and the history of works by Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels for their studio, Artisan House.) This brass and copper sculpture is one of a series that were executed of a bus stop on a rainy day, all with slightly varied elements. This particular sculpture, unlike most on this theme, includes two trees rather than one, along with the park bench and three groups of people holding umbrellas. The people and umbrellas are patinated with bright colored enamels. Although undated, this patination indicates the sculpture is truly a vintage work and not a more recent production.

Included are two self-hooks on the back for easy hanging: a close-up of one is shown in last photo. Measure, put in two nails, and you’re ready to display this fab wall hanging in your mid-century abode!

Size: 26" x 21"
