This is indeed a rare find. Hardcover book, cloth cover, red with blue and black writing. First printing first edition 1936. This is a children's story of a little black boy. It was illustrated by the author. Book has 44 pages. It was at one time a library book and the "pocket" containing the check out card is still in place. Something has been removed from the front right hand cover page as you can see the paper that is left. Also on the inside of the back cover. If you collect black memorabilia this is a rare find and especially in such good condition. All pages are intact, no pages are dog eared. The cover is slightly worn but the book is 76 years old.
