Here is another little barn cat just found at the Inn. It was found meowing out in the rain, soaking wet and shivering from the fear of being abandoned. Luckily it showed up at the barn and Thomas the oldest cat in the barn, who has been there forever it seems, picked it up and brought it inside where it is now safe and warm, just waiting to be adopted to a good home.

This little kitten is made with a recycled warm wool sweater and filled with quality non allergenic fiberfill, so you can be sure that it will be a cuddly little cat. It measures 8 inches from the top of its ears to the tip of its feet. It is wearing a hand knit scarf to keep it keep it snuggly warm and cute.

This little cat would make a great pet and friend for everyone. The eyes are embroidered with embroidery floss so it is safe for young children. It is hand washable in cold water and just let it sit to dry.

If you want to know more about the Barn Cats read on ......

Way out behind Maggie's Raggedy Inn is an old grey weather-beaten barn. It has stood on the propery for more than 80 years and now seems run down and abandoned by the people who used to care. Years ago it housed and offered protection from the wind, snow and rain to a variety of farm animals, including cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and horses. Each breed of animal had their own special section of the barn and on a daily basis, the many generations of farmers took care of the upkeep of the barn making sure that the rafters were strong and that everything was clean and in order.

But as with everything in life, the times have changed and today there are no longer any animals in the barn. The paint has faded, the windows are broken and trees and brush have grown up around it. It is abandoned and no one cares.....

Except the barn cats. It is now their home and inside they have set up their many cozy hiding places. If you look closely you can see them sitting on the old window sills licking their paws as they go through their daily cleaning rituals. Or maybe look out back and see them chasing each other around an old fence post. This barn is now their home and despite its condition, it provides them with everything that they need. These are a playful bunch who know how to live freely no matter where they live. They are full of love, joy, playfulness and have little expectation except to have fun.

They all know that they will be sent on a special trip someday to live with someone who maybe loves regular cats but is allergic to them, or to live with someone who has lost a cat friend and needs a new one who is special. Maybe they will live with someone who has always wanted a cat but does not have the time to care for a regular cat. Whatever the reason, these barn cats have been put( knit) together and promise to not give you any trouble...no scratching, no kitty litter required and they will eat whatever you are having. They will also have you purring in no time as soon as you own one.
