Pine Rocker Child's Rocking Chair. This lovely vintage child's rocker from the 1940s or 50's has a three slat back and round mortise and tenon joints throughout. Two of the joints are visible at the ends of the armrests. The wood appears to be a high quality solid pine with a rubbed oil finish. This chair has the highest quality construction you will find for a piece of this type. Because of its age, it has the expected scratches, dings, and wear one would expect. In fact, the top slat on the back appears to have some child's tooth marks!

From the floor to the top of the back measures 23 1/2" high. The widest point is 15" which is the outside of the rockers on the front.

The actual size of the area for sitting or inside of the seat may be the most important measurement to consider if you are buying this for a child to actually use. The inside seat measurements are 11 1/2" across on the front and 9" across on the back. The depth of the inside of the seat is 11 1/2". The seat is 8 1/2" from the floor.

I will be glad to measure any other dimensions and answer additional questions so please feel free to contact me through the Etsy convo system.

I am very proud to offer this special chair. It will make the perfect heirloom piece for a new family as well as a lovely vintage photo prop. Thanks for looking!
