Want to give your sweetheart a gift that echoes the romance of the days of old? Inspired by the mushrooms that grow in my backyard (see pictures), this lace choker embodies the play of shadows and tones of color present in nature. The lace is vintage, circa 1950s, and was handed down to me from my husband's grandmother. I used one half of a lace collar to create an asymmetrical choker embellished with AAA quality freshwater pearls. Each pearl is painstakingly knotted by hand on silk cord and finished securely with sterling silver clamshells and toggle clasp. The antiqued ivory shade of the lace blends beautifully with the shimmering white pearls, and this would also make an amazing bridal accessory for your wedding! The necklace measures approximately 15.5" in length and is meant to be worn as a choker. The piece of lace is approximately 7.5" long and 2.5" high at it's widest point. Warm, delicate, and feminine, this lace necklace is a must have! Mix it with an orange cardigan and shorts or a jean jacket, floral dress and cowboy boots to be ready for Autumn!
