SET OF 3 PRINTS *25% discount pricing when buying the set vs. buying separately

These photographs were taken at Manteno State Hospital, a cottage plan/colony plan style facility on 1,200 acres in rural Illinois. MSH opened in 1930, and its population peaked in 1954 with just over 8,000 patients. It's stood abandoned since closing in 1985. The writing in the pictured hydrotherapy room (part of an original art installation by Kristyn Vinikour Photography) relays the story of Genevieve Pilarski, whose name's written in the tub on the upper left. She was a former patient who underwent everything from hydrotherapy and a lobotomy, to placement in an experimental research ward. She was born in 1919, committed to the hospital in 1944 by her parents, lobotomized in 1955, and spent the rest of her days mostly incapacitated until her death in 1998 as a ward of the state.

Print sizes 4x5 and 8x10 keep the dimensions shown in the main image of this listing. Any other sizes will be cropped.

This print is unmatted and unframed. Mounting options such as canvas, wraps, metal, standouts, styrene and foam are available through custom order.

The acid-free archival papers I currently work with are:

Ilford True B&W
(black and white matte finish)

Kodak Professional Endura Metallic
(pearlescent look glossy finish)

Kodak Professional Endura Glossy "F-Surface"
(standard glossy finish)

Kodak Professional Endura Lustre "E-Surface"
(traditional semi-gloss finish with fine grain pebble texture)
All prints are shipped in an acid-free archival clear bag for protection and I recommend continued storing of the print in this sealed bag until you intend to display it. All prints are made using acid-free archival papers which should last a lifetime with proper handling and care. Avoid touching the print surface directly with bare fingertips and avoid direct sunlight unless UV protection is provided by your display method.
