Want to give your sweetheart a gift that echoes the romance of the days of old? Inspired by the mushrooms that grow in my backyard (see pictures), this lace necklace embodies the play of shadows and tones of color present in nature. The lace is vintage, circa 1950s, and was handed down to me from my husband's grandmother. I used the handmade piece of vintage lace embellishment and created a necklace using freshwater pearls. Each pearl is painstakingly knotted by hand on a beige silk cord and finished securely with 14k gold filled clamshells and trigger clasp. The antiqued ivory shade of the lace blends beautifully with the shimmering white pearls, and this would make an amazing bridal accessory for your wedding! The necklace measures approximately 15" with the bottom tip of the lace reaching approximately 22". The lace is approximately 5.25" long and 4" wide at it's widest point. Warm, delicate, and feminine, this lace necklace works perfectly with a bright orange v-neck cardigan and distressed skinny jeans for Autumn!
