MAKE YOUR OWN RECYCLED T-SHIRT SCARF!

I have received many compliments on my recycled t-shirt scarves every time I wear them and I realized that many people just might want to make one of their own. I began writing up this tutorial and ran it by one or two crafty folks, who found it pretty easy to follow.

My Recycled T-shirt Scarf tutorial is now available to anyone who wants to have a fun and creative scarf that is also eco-minded since it uses t-shirts that might have found their way into the trash bin due to a few hard-to-remove stains. Now you can just cut around those stains and make a fabulous scarf that's great to wear through all seasons!

PDF TUTORIAL INCLUDES:

- list of supplies you will need to make your scarf
- instructions to measure and cut your pattern templates
- color photos of the process
- detailed instructions for cutting, arranging and sewing your own t-shirt scarf

NEW & IMPROVED BONUS: Pattern Template is now included in this tutorial as a separate PDF!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

- How to cut a t-shirt in preparation for the project
- How to work with knitted t-shirt material and learning about the 'grain'/straight line of t-shirt fabric
- Tips for pinning your scarf for ease in sewing it all together
- What to watch out for during the sewing process to avoid snags in your machine
- Ideas for taking your t-shirt scarf in fun color or pattern directions

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

* Your personal email account for the PDF to be sent to
* A personal computer and printer to print the PDF instructions and pattern template or mobile tablet for saving the PDF instructions
* You will need a sewing machine to complete this project in a day
* Basic sewing machine skills
* Used t-shirts, three of a similar color
* Lightweight cardboard to make your pattern templates

This tutorial is a great tutorial for beginning sewists since it only takes one long straight stitch to sew up your scarf. YES, you heard that right - it only takes a single line of sewing to make this fabulous scarf! This project can be done in a day so you can cut your scarf in the morning and wear your scarf in the evening!

Here is a testimonial about how easy this tutorial is to follow and to use:

"You have very concisely and logically spelled out the project for any level sewist. I would call myself a beginner-intermediate, and this was crystal clear.
You gave awesome tips along the way like suggesting to make a better quality pattern for repeat use/that mixing t-shirt textures is ok/the c-thru ruler...
It's amazing to me that one row of stitching holds the whole scarf together! What a groovy project. And the other bonus of this project is that even a beginner could do it in a few hours from start-to-finish. So as far as I'm concerned, these directions are top notch!" - TJ, Mail Artist and beginner Sewist!

Have fun making your own scarf TODAY!

A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME:

I have been sewing by hand since the age of 6 and sewing on a machine from the age of 11. I went on to study Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting which I turned into a career of costume making for many fabulous places such as Disney Imagineering, The Los Angeles Opera Costume Shop and Jim Henson's Creature Shop, as well as smaller costume shops where I created costumes for commercials, TV or films.

I love to share my passion and experience in creativity with others and I'm so happy to offer this tutorial to you! I hope you enjoy making your very own recycled t-shirt scarf =-)

PLEASE be sure that your email address is the correct email address for your Etsy account as that is the email address I will use to send this PDF tutorial!

I'd love to see what kind of masks YOU make with this tutorial! If you're on Instagram, share your photos and tag me @thecreativebeast - your creation might get featured in this listing in the future!

Returns and exchange details

REGARDING CUSTOM ORDERS:
Due to the nature of custom work, I am unable to offer refunds or exchanges on special requests or custom orders.

REGARDING DIGITAL GOODS:
Due to the nature of digital goods, I am unable to offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations. Please contact me with any questions you may have about my digital products before placing your order.

REGARDING GOODS DAMAGED UPON ARRIVAL:
I highly recommend taking photos of any damages that may have occurred with purchases of delicate goods. Photos will help me understand what may have happened en route, and photos can help me in dealing with the USPS at my end. You may be asked to return-mail the item, before a return or exchange can take place - this will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

NOTE:
Refunds, exchanges and cancellations are time-consuming, after the fact. As a result, I prefer and highly recommend contacting me before you make a purchase with any questions or concerns you might have. It takes less time to have a conversation, than it takes to deal with return shipping, and it's more fun to have a chat!

And maybe we make a new friend in the process... =)

Thank you for your consideration and your patience! My Etsy shop is a 'one woman show'. I greatly appreciate your support of my creative work <3
