Antique leather bound books, 1916, beautifully illustrated with color plates and black and white...

This is a wonderful set of leather bound early reference books, part of a set. They seem to me to be a precursor to the encyclopedias.

The volumes are Vol. 2-5, and were produced by the Hanson-Roach-Fowler Company is 1916.

These aren't in perfect condition, what with have a few missing pages here and there, and a few pages detached.........however those are in the minority and these books are extremely handsome for display.

They weigh about 3lbs. each so shipping will be a bit higher on these.

Each book measures 6 1/2x9 3/4" and are 2" thick. I believe there may have only been 5 volumes in this set because volume 5 goes all the way through the letter "Z". It would be fun to find the first volume to complete this beautiful set!
