This is timeless vintage. As fashionable in the late 1960s with pilgrim shoes and a matching bag as it is today with strappy sandals and a statement necklace for summer. Upon close inspection of the seam allowance, this brightly colored dress in ombre orange, pink and black was made with the more subdued inside of the chiffon as the right side of this fabric must have been determined to be too bold. Fully lined in nylon tricot. Closes at the center back with a nylon invisible zipper.

No label.

This dress is part of a collection I recently purchased. I instead of paper or bubble wrap, a customer of mine used 42 mod mini dresses from the 1960s and early 1970s to transport their Mother's pottery collection from Hawaii back to Portland, Oregon. Then they wisely brought them to me. The woman's Mother was a seamstress and Home Economics teacher. This dress was handmade by her.

Pearl's measurements at the time of this shoot were 33-26-38 and she stands 5'8" tall. Judge how this will appear on you by comparison and with the assistance of the following measurements. Keep in mind the original owner was only 5 feet tall and these dresses will look different on more petite ladies. Bust and shoulder to shoulder measurements are most essential for optimal fit.
-Bust: 34"
-Waist: 26"
-Hip: 44"
-Shoulder to shoulder: 16"
-Length from shoulder to waist: 15.5"
-Length from waist to hem: 22"
-Sweep: 80"

Very good condition rating an 8 out of 10. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear, though I don't think this was ever properly hemmed. It doesn't lay quite right. Everyone at the photo shoot thought it was a bubble skirt. You be the judge. There is a snagged spot that appears to have been caught in the zipper above the waistline.
