The triangular shaped vintage letterpress case is freestanding with spaces throughout; at the top the slots are shallow and gradually get deeper down the shelf. There are seven spaces across and nine rows down. The spaces get gradually wider from left to right. The divided shelf is made of solid wood, not plywood, with thinner wood pieces for the dividers. It has a dark brown finish, the interior is a bit lighter. The case originally held wood furniture pieces used for letterpress printing.

Measures 15 3/8 inches wide; 27 7/8 inches tall; 10 3/8 inches deep at base. The top row spaces are 1 3/4 inches deep, the bottom row 9 3/4 inches deep. The cubbies are approximately 2 3/4 inches tall; the narrowest are 3/4 inch wide, the widest 3 3/8 inches wide.

There are some scratches, nicks and gouges to the wood; some staining to the interior; three of the cubbies have the divider wood chipped off in the front (see the last two photos for details). Be sure to zoom on photos for the best detail.

Would make a great addition to an artist's studio for storing brushes, pens, pencils, paints. . . or a sewing studio for threads, scissors, notions. Or on a desk for pens, pencils, rulers and lots of odds and ends! Or, of course, for letterpress furniture!
