Yes, I did manage to make these cathedral window quilt pillows small enough for a christmas tree. This ornament is 1 inch smaller than my miniature cathedral window pincushions. I didn't think it could be done, but I love a good challenge!

The top of this pincushion/pillow is sewn almost completely by hand. It is considered a type of quilting, even though there is not any actual quilting on the pillow. It is a very labor-intensive pattern and the pincushion/pillow top is quite heavy because each white square is four layers thick. I took this traditional pattern and gave it a modern twist using green batik fabrics. I have sewn a small hanging loop into the ornament using a narrow, white satin ribbon.

I stuffed it with a high quality poly-fil that is hypo-allergenic.

It measures 4" square.
