1941 hardcover book collecting American traveler and adventurer Richard Halliburton's two volumes originally puplished in the late 1930s, Book of Marvels: The Occident (1937) and Second Book of Marvels: The Orient. A pioneer of adventure journalism, Halliburton weaves together geography, history, and culture in a compelling narrative style. Long out of print, but still a classic of the genre.

Contains 60 chapters, each on a different locale or landmark.

Published by Bobbs Merrill. 316 pgs. Fully illustrated with black and white photography and maps. Teal blue-green cloth covers. No dust jacket.

Measures 10 1/4" x 7 1/4" x 2"

Good to very good condition. Some spots of light soiling on cloth. Boards have some wear and the edges and corners. Binding is tight. Pages are clean and free of marks.
