100% Beeswax -tinted black and hand poured into an excellent reproduction of a heavily carved European cookie mold.

This casting is of a gentleman farmer out with the prancing horses and the plow. He looks positivly jaunty as he takes the plow down a row. Great detail; you can see his facial features and the harnesses of the horses.

There is a dusting of spices to emphasize details and give a warm look. SIZE: 1 3/4" x 2" and about 3/8" thick.

My castings are made from reproductions of the springerle and spice cookie molds carved as long ago as 1500. These cookies were sold at fairs and bakeries. What a competition for the best cookies there must have been when you see how beautiful and original these castings are!

Because Beeswax has a melting point of 140 degrees F, the casting will not melt under normal household temperatures. I store mine wrapped individually in tissue paper- BUT NOT IN THE ATTIC! I have beeswax ornaments that are 30 plus years old and look like the day I bought them.

There is a metal hanger at the top so it can be hung. If you would like this without the hanger, it can be made that way for you.
