The inspiration for this geometric design came from a motif on a piece of lace. It reminded me of a snowflake, so I stitched it in soft, pastel colors, in a wintery palette, on a fabric with a metallic shine (Zweigart Lugana metallic opalescent/white).

Pattern is black and white and uses full cross stitches only. I used five DMC colors (3, 30, 932, 3042, and 3813), but it could truly take on a new life if stitched with a totally different palette. Stitch count in 125 x 125.
