Beyond being a fun game piece, these tiles are also excellent for teaching spelling, phonics, syllable rules, vocabulary words and more. These game tiles are stackable which is especially handy for learning similarly spelled words (dog, bog, frog, etc) by simply stacking up on the tiles to show the transformation). Some other ways to use these tiles include:

- letter recognition practice for early learning: mix them up and match the letters
- combine letter tiles, letter dice, and/or letter cards for recognition & sorting practice (dice and letter cards are not included in this listing, these items are simply suggested items that you might have on hand, any letter manipulative would work)
- blend sounds for early reading practice
- practice phonics patterns in multiple words by changing one letter at a time to strengthen reading & spelling skills: cat/pat/sat. Even "nonsense" words make good phonics practice!
- use as spelling manipulatives for any age! Form spelling & vocabulary words for a tactile learning method
- separate vocabulary words into syllables, prefixes, suffixes, etc. for better recall
- spread out lots of letters and look for words as in a word search game
- handy for solving anagrams and other word puzzles
- play a tactile version of hangman
-also great for letter/word crafts

Bring learning to life through your student's fingers!
