This abstract painting titled "Stacks - Urban Cairn Series No. 1" is the first in my Urban Cairn series in my abstract work.

This painting, Stacks, represents the book stacks in a library. While libraries still exist, and while books do too, how we get our information and how we use it is changing. This is honoring the books.

The painting measures 30 x 30" with a 1/2" deep canvas. Acrylics in bright teals and beautiful rich oranges, coppers, reds and golds can brighten darker spaces, and add a deep richness to lighter colored, more neutral elements in the home. The more subtle colors will enhance when you introduce those secondary colors in the room with your painting. It's perfectly versatile enough and contemporary in style, to enhance a space you'd like to update without redecorating the entire room.
