Vintage Thirties Art Book titled An American Artist’s Story by George Biddle. Little, Brown and Co, Boston, 1939. 326 pp.

Hard cover, with front cover illustration after portrait (self?) by the artist; black and white photographs of his work, including his WPA mural. Biddle was an American artist known for his social realism and combat art, and his association with the Federal Art Project and WPA.

Ex-library copy; cover wear; cover edges and spine head and tail rubbed; corner tips bumped; black ex-lib numbers at spine base; ex-Mus library bookplate on front free endpaper and a few tiny rubber stamps; few small rubber stamps to title page; ends of pages stamped with rubber stamp, visible when book is closed.
