Hi and welcome to "AmoreTreasure". ...Up for sale is an exquisite jeweled bobby pin made from a vintage Art Deco style black and clear crystal dangle jewel. This is one in a new line of Art Deco "dangle" hair combs and bobbies that I will be offering. This one is so much prettier in person! A classic Art Deco design features a velvety black glass pear cut stone surrounded by brilliantly clear prong set round cut crystals. From this hangs rows of more clear cut crystals accented with three black crystals. You will not believe the sparkle in this bobby. I love how the dangle gives it some movement that creates such a beautiful effect as it flickers in the light. This is a one-of-a-kind piece. (Please note that I photo'd this with the bobby pin part behind a card so that you would see how the jewel will hang though in the last photo you can see the pin base.)

It is in excellent vintage condition with all rhinestones present, accounted for and brilliant. The hair pin has a lacy, 1920s - 1930s feel that can only be acheived with a true vintage piece. Though definately in the Art Deco style, based on the metal used and construction, I would say that the jewel used was probably made int the 1950s - 1960s. That feel just can't be replicated by the new vintage "style" pieces. The jewels have been securely attached to a new high quality silver plated bobby pin.

They just don't make jewelry anymore with the quality of the jewels used on this. Why settle for vintage "look" (that always looks like a reproduction) cookie-cutter produced when you can have a designer, one-of-a-kind hair comb made from true antique/vintage jewels??? There is not another bridal pin like this in the world to be sure.

This heirloom quality hair pin measures 3 inches (7.5 cm) long and about 5/8" wide at the widest part.

Please vist my etsy shop for my vintage couture hair combs, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings made just for the bride or as gifts for the bridesmaids, maid of honor, and/or mother of the bride.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the day!

Frequently asked questions about AmoreTreasure

STEP 1: Measure your Wrist with a cloth tape measurements or a strip of paper just below the wrist bone, at the smallest part of your wrist, and measure it.

STEP 2: If you are using a plain strip of paper, mark your size with a pen on that paper. Then measure that paper strip with a ruler. That would be your wrist size.

STEP 3: To find your bracelet size, just add your wrist size with the appropriate measurements below.

FITTING STYLE Add inch(es) to your wrist Size

Comfort fit add 1" - 1 1/4"
Looser fit add 1 1/4" - 1 1/2"

For example, my wrist is puny at 5 1/2". I like my bracelets on the looser side and wear this style bracelet at 7". It has room for movement but certainly is not falling off my wrist.
Petite = 6.75 inches (17 cm)
Small = 7 inches (18 cm)
Medium = 7.5 inches (19 cm)
Large = 8 inches - 8.5 inches (20 cm - 21.5 cm)
Plus Size = 9 inches (22.5 cm)

*** Because the links on my vintage earring bracelets are relatively large, you really need a bit more length than what you would take in a tennis style bracelet in order to have some movement.***

My earring bracelets come a standard 7 inch length. I can get them down to 6.75 inches without removing a jeweled link or can lengthen them to whatever size is needed by adding heavier 1/4 inch silver or gold plated chain links between the end jewels and the clasp hardware. There is no extra charge for altering the length.
I am happy to setup an installment payment plan for orders of at least $100(USD). Please contact me for details.
I offer free complimentary gift wrapping. Please just add a note on the invoice that you would like gift wrapping along with any message you would like included on a gift card.
To clean vintage rhinestone jewelry, slightly dampen a soft cloth with window cleaner and gently wipe the surface of the jewelry to be cleaned. NEVER submerge vintage rhinestone jewelry in any kind of liquid as the liquid can get underneath the rhinestones and damage the foil backing. Do not submerge vintage simulated pearl jewelry in any kind of liquid as it can damage the coating on the faux pearls.

It is important to always store your jewelry in a dry place. Also, be sure to put your jewelry on AFTER you apply hair spray and spray perfume.
Please be aware that in the spirit of "Reuse/Repurpose/Upcycle", I reuse outer packaging material whenever I have it. It is good for the environment and keeps shipping costs down for both of us. However, if you prefer I use new packaging, please just let me know.
