Here's a collection of three different napkin ring/holders from the early 1900's.

1 - Twig with leaf for base, bird on branch design in metal on top. This napkin ring measures 1 3/4" tall, probably silverplate, not marked.

2 - A "u" shape holder with branch and leaves for base. 2 1/4" tall. One top lip has been engraved with initials P.E.C. The other lip is inscribed Jan 10/08 (for 1908). Bottom is marked: The Van Bergh S.P.C., Quadruple Plate, Rochester, New York" and the numbers 9 8 (8 was stamped over a 7). The bottom has a 1/4" crack in from the side where the holder would most likely bend.

3 - "Best Wishes" inscribed on top of the napkin ring, the bird and egg sit on a wishbone for a base. It is 3" at the widest. Big end of wishbone is bent, small dent in top of egg. It is most likely silverplate, not marked.

These napkin holders will make quite a presentation at the dining table.
