This listing is for a wall plaque or trivet designed by Piet Hein and produced by Royal Copenhagen. Hein's short poems, or 'gruks' are a mainstay of Danish popular culture. For these plaques, Hein also provided a quick sketch to illustrate each poem.

This particular poem reads: "If no thought yourmind does visit, make your speech not too explicit."

The plaque measures 5 1/2 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches long. In good, vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Marked on the back with the Royal Copenhagen logo was well as "1980, 34-3713."
