Up for your consideration is a vintage mid century Pollard lab stool

This stool is an industrial metal shop stool or lab stool made by the Pollard Co of Chicago IL

This stool has very solid and sturdy legs

The metal is in good condition with some chipping of the green paint

The back and seat are both wood they are in fair to good condition with scratches, nicks, paint splatters, a little glue, staining and a nick on the edge of the seat made by a wayward hand saw. All of this could be corrected with a little sandpaper and varnish. To me though that might diminish its sense of story.

The stool would look awesome in a kitchen as a chair to sit on while watching someone cook

It would also work wonderfully in a craft room especially in a room that has counters to work at, it would be the perfect height

This chair has a wonderful sense of history to it

I believe this stool is from the 1940s

It needs a washing

Size -27"H(seat) 40 1/2"(top of chair) x 15"W x 15"D

The height can be adjusted by raising or lowering the legs

In order to make shipping MUCH more affordable this stool will be taken partially apart. You will need a screwdriver, a wrench or two. Only one wrench if you have a socket set. Let us know if you don't want it shipped this way. Just know that the shipping will be somewhere around 4 to 5 times higher.

As in almost all vintage items this piece has signs of wear, with some possible scratches and scuffs. All of these things added together is what makes these vintage pieces so attractive to us. It takes us back to an earlier, simple time, when things were not throwaway and disposable. reclaim-bring it back home. repurpose-chances are it won't be used in its original form, the possibilities of use are only limited by your imagination. reuse-too much from our lives is throwaway. We need to find new and creative ways to reuse, so we do not completely drown in the disposable:)
