This fabulous Dresden Style porcelain watering can is from the mid century. It has applied roses and leaves and heavily trimmed in gold and brushed gold.
The Mint Green watering can has irvory (cream) applied cherub on the front which is trimmed in gild and ivory (cream) roses and leaves gilded in gold. There are many raised areas on the watering can with gold trim. There are areas on the back and front with brushed gold effects and design.
The ornate gold trimmed handle is marvelous, as is the ornate spout. The handle is trimmed in gold and is also ornate.
The Dresden Style watering can measures approx 8" tall x 81/2" wide. the handle is 2" above the 3" opening The handle is 2" x 5 1/2". the spout is 2 1/2" x 6"
There are numbers/letters on the bottom that are stamped in that I cannot read.
It is in excellent vintage condition! There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. There is a lot of crazing due to the age of this piece.
The color of mint green is so very soft and pretty and shows off the ivory and gold.
