Five blue birds
that´s the decoration on the very rare dish by artist Marianne Starck . She made is for the famous pottery Michael Andersen which existed on the Danish island of Bornholm and where she was the leading artist for decades.

The glazing is in Persia which gives an craquele effect and the floral pattern is in a bright cobolt blue colour with accents of a shimmering red all around the rim.

Excellent used condition
Marked on the bottom with the original Michael Andersen label and the Michael Andersen sign: a shield with three fishes. It has the number 5958.
