I've knit this hat by hand with a recycled lamb's wool blend consisting of Lamb's Wool(50%), Nylon(38%) and Angora(12%). The color is a rich brown with flecks of visible angora fibers. This is a worsted weight yarn which creates a thick fabric ideal for cold climates or urban nights. Laying flat in a relaxed state it measures approximately 13.5in(34.3cm) in length and 21in(53.3cm) in circumference around the brim.

The Divide series consists of simultaneous angular transitions which extrude two ribbing patterns out of one. I use various stitch patterns to accent these angular transitions while following these basic parameters. Divide Alpha is the first in the series. Using an alternating garter stitch ribbing pattern, the angular transitions lift each individual stitch pattern into two diamond sections. These shapes are then clarified with a sharper-angled transition before reverting back to the original pattern structure which continues into the trefoil crown.

Keep it looking new by hand washing it in a mild detergent, and then drying it flat. Remember that wool is hair, so if you'd like to use shampoo or body wash go right ahead. You can also use conditioner to add some sheen. Wool is excellent at wicking away moisture, so water goes right through it. When drying do not wring or twist, instead just squeeze. You can also roll it up in a towel and step on it a few times. Then lay it flat to dry completely.
