Edith tried for years to grow wings. She visualized. She grunted mantras. She sought out a shady tranfigurationist off the farm.To no avail. But she had a vision and was not to be deterred from her quest. She fashioned a parachute, stitched her harness, climbed to the top of the barn, and took flight.

The wet felted parachute is made from a white and mauve roving, topped with a white bead. Edith hangs securely from white pearl cotton, and is wearing a chartreuse harness for safety. She is almost 3.5 inches long, needle felted over a pipe cleaner frame with stitched eyes.

The mobile measures 8 inches from the white bead to the tip o' the hooves.

This mobile is for decoration only, and is not meant for little hands. We think that this mobile would be an adorable addition to a baby's nursery. We also think that sometimes grown-ups could use a whimsical boost, making Edith perfect for an office, cubicle or craft room.
