The harbinger of Spring! Cherry blossoms! This image is of a branch of delicate and lovely cherry blossoms.
"Life stands before me like an eternal spring with new and brilliant clothes."
- Carl Friedrich Gauss

This listing is for a beautiful edition of my original tintype, made with a photographic method invented in the 19th Century. I mix my own film emulsion from scratch and use vintage large format cameras to make photographic images on metal plates that transport the viewer to another era.

The metal print process: I scan the original tintype and have it digitally printed onto 1/4 inch metal sheets with rounded corners. The metal printing process I use represents a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated metal sheets. The metal prints take on a magical luminescence. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the archival qualities of this unique process are unparalleled.

You've never seen a more brilliant print before. Colors are vibrant and the luminescence is breathtaking. Detail and resolution are unsurpassed.

And with every metal print, I include a tiny hand-illustrated booklet detailing the tintype photographic process. Informative and adorable!
