Pattern Number: Butterick 1792

Description: Ladies' Surplice Waist with front gathered to back which extends over shoulder. Vestee in high or square neck, full-length or shorter sleeves and a French body lining (to be made as a separate waist or attached to a skirt as a one-piece dress)

Date: ca. 1918-1922

Bust: 38

Cut/Uncut: complete precut pattern, used, envelope brittle, WITH original instruction sheet included

IMPORTANT NOTE: Antique patterns are not like modern patterns and are for experienced sewists only. Detailed instructions for making up are not included (see scan for pattern instructions on the back of the envelope if there is no separate instruction sheet noted) and often hems and seam allowances are omitted or are less than a standard 5/8". Pattern pieces are unprinted unless otherwise specified. Please read the pattern envelope carefully before beginning your project. This is a wonderful antique pattern in a fantastic, rare plus size that you'll likely never see again!!

See the second image for the full pattern details. Scan is of the actual pattern and envelope you will receive.

All of my patterns are original, physical patterns which will arrive via US Mail, not .pdf downloads, reproductions, or copies. Unless otherwise specified, you will receive the exact copy shown in the scanned photographs in this listing.

Note: Effective January 27, 2013, USPS has dramatically raised its international shipping rates. I add a small amount to actual postage to cover shipping materials and expenses but if the automatic calculator greatly overcharges I will be glad to refund the extra.
