When my kids were little, rain was an event! When it rained my son Jens would put out tiny bowls to catch the drops. When they were full, each pot's contents were allocated to something that needed the rain (the pet lizard, our cactus plant). The last one always went on his head, since he was under the impression that rainwater would make him grow, like a sunflower.

I want to share this tradition, so here is a raindrop pot for you! It is made from stoneware, and glazed in two layered glazes. It is almost 3 inches wide at the rim, and about 1 inch tall.

It is food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. It is tiny and thoughtfully made, so it could also be used as an offering dish on an altar or shrine.

Folks also tell me they are good for putting food out for fairies.
