No stock photos here...the pick shown is the actual pick that you will receive, both sides of the pick are shown in the photos. Made with exotic African bubinga, domestic red oak, & black walnut, three very beautiful, dense & durable hardwoods. This custom handcrafted guitar pick was meticulously crafted with laminated strips of African bubinga & red oak in between two pieces of black walnut on the outside edges for a simple yet sleek & custom look, precision laser engraved on each side of the pick with a heart shaped design that utilizes the treble & bass clef. Concave thumb grooves with the engraving on each side provide exceptional grip that enables the guitarist to really explore new highs in guitar playing. This pick measures approx. 1-1/4” or 31 mm long X just over 1" or 26 mm wide, it is about 2.9 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves on each side. The pick tapers down to a thickness of about 1 mm at the tip, & was designed with the guitarist in mind for comfort & playability, treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, after the wood is treated, the laser artwork is done, after the artwork is engraved, I then re-soak the pick in the oil blend to further protect the entire pick. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. Take your guitar playing to new extremes, with the unmatched performance & the true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ. They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!

BUBINGA - Guibourtia Demeusei
The tree is native to Cameroon and Gabon, West, & Central Africa.
A truly gorgeous exotic African hardwood that is also known by many as African Rosewood. The heartwood is pink, vivid red, or red brown with purple streaks or veins, on exposure becomes yellow or medium brown with a reddish tint, veining becomes less conspicuous. The sapwood is whitish and distinct. Fine grained, very hard and heavy, with a tight grain and a fine texture. It weighs much more than hard Maple or Teak. The density of the wood is very high, takes a high lustrous finish.

RED OAK – Quercus Rubra
The tree is native to North America, primarily the eastern United States & Canada.
Very light brown with a reddish tinge, red oak generally has a straight grain with a coarse texture. It usually works & finishes well but timbers from the Northern growing region are usually more consistent in color with a finer texture. Large open pores produce distinctive grain. The most common hardwood in North America, the tree matures to about 70 feet in height with a trunk diameter of around 36 inches.

The tree is Native to, primarily the Eastern United States.
The sapwood is creamy white and may be three inches wide. Heartwood is a rich chocolate brown or purplish brown in color, with a dull sheen. Black walnut is normally straight grained and is noted for its beautiful grain character, producing a beautiful figure variation. Over the years the wood develops a lustrous patina. It is one of the only true dark brown domestic species, so it has a large following of devoted woodworkers that enjoy its rich color, and ease of use.
