The painting that Tommy's mother shows to Tommy, Jimmy and Henry, is based on a picture from the November 1978 edition of National Geographic. I love the line "One dog goes one way, the other dog goes the other way, and this guy's sayin', 'Whadda ya want from me?" The painting was originally painted by the mother of Nicholas Pileggi. Pileggi wrote the book "Wise Guy" which the movie is based upon.

This pattern has a finished size: 62 x 114 stitches (using 14 count fabric the size is approx. 4 1/2" x 8 1/2") and uses 24 DMC floss colors to achieve the oil painting effect. Of course, it isn't the entire painting that I recreated in this pattern, I decided to focus on the main 3 characters to keep it reasonable in size :)

"Goodfellas" is more complex than my other pattern offerings on etsy. I recommend this pattern for someone who has a few x-stitch projects under their belt. If you have questions at any point of your stichery, convo me! I'll walk you through the process!

The second & third photos are of my finished piece (*not included*), yours will look like the photo when you finish your stitching :) The last photo shows an example pattern, like what you will download.

My stitched sample (sold) photographed is on 18 count Aida Antique White. The pattern is created for 14 count, however you can convert to 18 or 22 count depending on your preference. The stitch count remains the same, but using 18 count fabric will result in a finished piece approx. 3 1/2 x 6 1/2. Both 14 count and 18 count directions are included.

Pattern is by me, Kristy Kizzee.
