Note: Every six months or so, I find a fabric that I love dearly and wish I had a magical unending bolt. Right now, it's this fabric - so perfect for fall! But I only had a remnant, just enough to make two bags. If you like this one, you might want to buy it before I come to my senses and keep it for myself! ;)

Canning jars are popular right now, and rightly so! They are inexpensive, sold by the dozen, dishwasher-safe, seal well, and the glass is BPA-free and microwaveable. They can be used to store soup, stew, chili, casseroles, salads, drinks, desserts - just about anything. So I thought, why not create a bag designed to bring a lunch in these wonderful containers?

So here it is: the Jars to Go bag! It is designed to hold two canning jars in sleeves, to help hold them upright. It is underlined with fleece to cushion the glass. It will hold wide-mouth or standard jars, pint-size. And if you want to bring a sandwich or something other than a jar, the sleeves fold out of the way, as shown in the fourth photo. (You can even squeeze in a sandwich beside the two jars, if you like!) And of course, it will hold commercially canned soups or entrees and bottled drinks instead.

This one is made of a patchwork print - it has paisley, flowers, dots, stripes, you name it. It is lined with a mottled red print. The bag stands 9" tall, and is 12" wide when laid flat. It includes a small cloth napkin useful for wrapping your silverware, of the mottled red.

The food, jars and silverware shown in the photos are not included in the listing - only the bag and napkin are for sale. (Yes, I know you're not a moron, I just have to say these things.)
