This is a wheel thrown stoneware vase in a black gloss glaze and decorated with maple leaves. The black glaze breaks to a soft brown on the edge of the rim giving a nice accent along with the natural feel of the 2 maple leaves. Each leaf is made using a real maple leaf pressed in clay, they are unglazed and have an oxide wash giving them a natural stone appeal. They are applied to the vase with the edges of the leaves slightly raised giving a dimensional look.

Measures 3.5" tall, 5.5" wide and has a 3.5" opening

All of my pottery is thrown by me on a potter's wheel, or sometimes using hand building techniques. The pottery is then fired to Cone 10, over 2300 degrees making it oven safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe with care. All glazes are lead free and safe for use with food.
