This rug hooking kit is drawn on cotton monks cloth. It comes with all the wools cut in one quarter inch strips necessary to complete the kit, the pattern, rug binding, a color key, and easy to follow instructions. I can't tell you how many people have taught themselves traditional rug hooking (not latch hook) using these kits. The pattern measures 13 X 16 inches and would make a great wall hanging, table centerpiece, or pillow top when completed. Lots of people hang these hand hooked mats from old cupboards as well. The saltbox is hooked with my own dyed mustard and the quilts in the background in a variety of great colors. The snowman is hooked with a lovely oatmeal heather and the snow beneath him with a mixed oats plaid. The background consists of creamy winter white flakes on a dyed blues background. For a finishing touch I added two rows of over dyed cranberry plaid. If you need a hook I have solid maple hooks listed for sale as well. If you have any questions please email me.

To get an idea how easy this is to do just google "primitive rug hooking". There are several videos showing how it's done on UTube.
