Nice shiny gold trimmed frames directly on glass backed by a gold matte mat inside a vintage gold metal frame. It is quite striking with the red paper liner showing through (maybe with a small botanical on each). The five little framed openings were probably intended for school pictures, but we think it is worthy of miniature works of art. Think the little square pictures on the back of your 2012 Renoir calendar -- and voila! real art in miniature! Keep for yourself or give as a unique gift. The back is covered in grosgrain black fabric and features a stand or rings for hanging. Although it was probably intended to be a horizontal frame, we think hanging it vertically would be charming. This is a vintage item, so please note that the metal frame does have some pecking and age -- mostly along the bottom horizontal edge. Also, the stand prop is loose -- it works, but we think maybe a dose of glue would do it right.
