A Simply gorgeous turn of the century treen Olive spoon / strainer for taking the olives from a barrel or jar and placing them into a dish for serving. The spoon is made of turned wood, possibly olive, and is in excellent condition for its age.

I have been told that these spoons are excellent for use when removing fruit preserved in liquors such as prunes in Armagnac.

The bowl of the spoon is pierced to drain the oil, brine or liquor, and is attatched to the handle via a lovely decorative flaired stem.

Measurements- approx. 9 3/4" long
