Lovely 18k gold ring with full English hallmarks. The style is modern and clean with subtle engraved details. This was probably a wedding band. The front has an opal and two rubies gypsy set inside engraved star bursts.

Size is 7.25 and weight is 2.2 grams. The front measures about 1/4 of an inch across.

The opal is opaque white with flashes of blue, green and orange. It seems to be an older replacement. The rubies appear to be natural because of the color and the inclusions visible under magnification but they have not been tested.

The hallmarks are a crown and the number 18, which signify the gold content of 18k. The anchor is for Birmingham and the letter date is a lower case "k" which should be for the year 1909 though the lower edge of the stamp is worn. There is a maker's mark of T&S and a registration number of 4932.

Fine antique condition, the gold is a rich, warm yellow. Minor surface wear. There is some loss to the gold where it rubbed against a finger but the gold is still sturdy.

Great wedding band, promise ring, anniversary or right hand ring.
