This is Sandy MacB.

(His surname is longer than 'MacB,' but he doesn't want people googling him. He won't tell me why, but I figure it's none of my business.)

Sandy has worked for years as both a doorstop and a bookend, although he prefers door work. "It's more relaxing," he says.

Considering that he's worked full-time, year-round, since about 1935, I'd say he deserves some relaxation. Plus his heft -- he's QUITE heavy -- makes him a better than average choice to keep your doors situated.

Note that in addition to getting a hard-working canine companion, you're also getting to help keep down the numbers of homeless pets! 10% of the purchase price will be donated to The Spayed Club (www.thespayedclub.org) to help fund spay/neuter work in the 5-county Philadelphia area.

So while you and Sandy are getting acquainted, deserving dogs, cats, and the occasional bunny will be helped!!

In his current stance, Sandy measures 6.5" high. The base is 3.25" x 5.25". Both Sandy and the base he's resting on are in excellent condition overall.

Unsigned, but what a find!!

You may be floored to learn this -- I know I would be --, but there is actually similarly awesome stuff everywhere in my shop. Take a look!!

And if you're a fan of the the vintage and the antiquey you really ought to bookmark us -- we list 10 or more new old items every week!

Wishing you all God's blessings!
