Peruvian Opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a semi translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. Depending on how the stone is cut it can be clear, scenic (showing varying degrees of color) or dendritic which has black fern-like inclusions. This is an especially gorgeous pair of cabochons, which are deep aqua blue, and have brown and black dendritic rivers running through them. This trapezoid pair will work well in designer earrings (the 3 mm thickness is perfect for earrings to maintain a light weight - just be gentle when bezel setting.) They can also be combined to use in a single jewelry art piece, or split up and utilized in separate creations; they are a perfect size for a ring.

They measure: 8.83 mm wide x 16.11 long x 3 mm thick.

As with all of our cabochons, the reverse side has a matte finish. and it has a beveled girdle and low dome for easy bezeling.
