When I came across these teardrop-shaped Lucite/acrylic condiment servers at the same estate sale, I was shocked to find out -- with a little research -- that they're made by different companies ... in different countries, even! One thing they do have in common is that they look fantastic.

The celadon-green pair is, according to my research, a Guzzini (Italy) design from the 1960's. Each one has a plastic stopper, which secures tightly and is intact in both pieces. The larger of the pair measures 3-1/4" high x 2" in diameter. The smaller measures 3-1/4" high x 1-7/8" in diameter. These actually do pour salt and pepper pretty smoothly; I tested them. Condition-wise, they're great -- a few minor surface abrasions are evident, but only in bright light. (You have to really go looking for them.)

The black-acrylic/Lucite pair by Otagiri (Japan) is slightly larger, opaque in color and features cork stoppers in their bases versus plastic. This leads me to believe these are for liquid -- maybe oil, vinegar, soy sauce, etc. (Of course, these could also be used for salt and pepper, and the green ones used for oil/vinegar, etc.) Both dispensers retain their original "Japan" and "OTC" foil stickers. The large one measures 4-1/4" high x 2-3/8" in diameter. The smaller one measures 3-1/4" high x 2" in diameter.

I've arranged these great-looking, mod condiment dispensers on a vintage stainless-chrome rectangular serving tray. It features two atomic star etchings -- one at either end -- on its serving surface and measures 15-1/4" x 5-1/2" wide. This tray is in incredible condition; the only sign of use is a few extremely light surface scratches.

This set is sure to generate lots of oohs and aahs just sitting on your counter top or dining table.
