Horatio Alger Doll Miniature

Horatio Alger, Jr. was a 19th-century American author, best known for his juvenile novels about impoverished boys and their rise from humble backgrounds to lives of middle-class.

Born: 1832
Died: 1899

Little Horatio is created wearing soft black flannel pants, white shirt with bow tie, and a long style gray jacket with black velvet cuffs and collar. Tiny black buttons accent the front, and I added a detailed, hand painted face, real fiber hair and mustache, and he holds a replica of one of his many works.

Created out of wood, wire, clay, and paint- 4 1/2 inches tall, (11.4 cm)
