Made in the north of England by the much admired Imperial pottery, most probably in the 1940s, these delicious plate are perfect for serving lunches, dinners and suppers.

The middle area of the plate is colour washed in a delicate ballerina pink.

Around the pink runs a fine gilt line and above this features lustrous and careful patterning displaying extravagant tassels that drape from a golden filigree design interspersed with fabulous white stars.

The plate's scalloped rims and edges are enhanced and defined with further gilt work.

22 karat gold is used throughout.

The wonderful gleaming embellishment and distinctive style of the plate makes it immediately recognisable as vintage - the perfect addition to any dinner party or wedding gathering.

Also fabulous to display in an armoire or kitchen dresser.

The underside of the plate is back stamped in gilt with the words "Imperial", "Fine English China" and "Warranted 22 Kt Gold". These back stamps confirm the set's makers as Imperial and that genuine 22 karat gold has been used in their creation.

The plate is in good vintage condition, with no chipping, cracking or crazing. There is just a lsome wear to the gilt and a couple of manufacturer's dust splashes on the under-bottom - neither of which distract from the plate's appeal.

Vital Statistics:

Width of plate: 30 cm
