This is a beautiful example of a midcentury modernist style sterling silver Taxco bracelet! A buckle design is the center of attention in a hinged cuff style. This bracelet weighs in at nearly 44 grams, almost an ounce and a half. The inside of the bracelet is marked "925 CS Eagle with a 3 inside". The C represents the city it was made in, being Cuernavaca. The S stands for the initial of the last name of the silversmith. The eagle with the number 3 inside it represents the Taxco region. This notation was used from 1948 until the late 1960's or early 1970's, placing this bracelet circa 1960. This bracelet is in very good to excellent vintage condition, with only a very few minor surface scratches. This beauty has been well cared for. Bracelet measures 1 1/4" wide at the widest point and has a 2 3/8" diameter opening.
