Offering an outstanding solid bronze bust, from the estate that brought us the signed President John Adams books, the fine 19th century Meissen china and more. Historic estate from Baltimore.

Plaque on bottom of bust reads Jules Cesar. This piece is unsigned but from the same estate as the Napoleon 1 bust. Plaque on the base reads: Jules Cesar. Medusa is on the front of his uniform. Weighs roughly 25 pounds.

Large nearly life size bust. Phenomenal detail. Weighs nearly 25 pounds of solid bronze. Believed to have originated from the studio of Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741 – 1828). We also have another bust of Napolean that is signed by Houdon, done in the same style. (see alternate listing)

In excellent condition. No cracks. A few old tiny white paint splatters but they will come off. Measures 18 inches x 12 inches.

We have been asked to sell the estate of the historic colonial Ridgely family of Baltimore Maryland. This bust, along with the Kirk Sterling, John Adams books, Meissen china and other fine pieces have all come from this one family. The heir to it all passed recently.

Satisfaction Guaranteed.
