These yellow and deep turquoise wide mouth soup mugs double as a soup bowl with a handle and are perfect for chili, soup, stews - just about anything too soupy for a plate that you want to dish out hot or heat in the microwave. They can also be used for lattes, hot cocoa or even coffee!

These hand thrown stoneware soup mugs are glazed in a deep turquoise glaze overlapped by a creamy yellow glaze creating an area of green peeking through a wash of creamy yellow with lots of interest where the two glazes intersect. - hard to describe but beautiful to look at. The comfortable handle is hand pulled and has the added advantage of not getting hot when heating your beverage in the microwave.

Each mug is approx. 3" (7.6 cm) in height, 5" (12.7 cm) in diameter, 6 3/4" (17.2 cm) wide including the handle. Easily holds 12-14 ounces (354-424 ml) - one mug is slightly smaller.

This is a listing for two soup mugs.

These pieces were handmade on a potter's wheel out of stoneware nd fired to 2340° F. They can be used in the microwave and put in the dishwasher.
