Wonderful old metal toy wheel.
Bright yellow wheel with cool red stripe.
Thin rubber treads marked with the Amsco label.

These date to the 1940s - 50s era.
They're Post War kid toy wheels.
VERY "Hey Mickey, let's make a racer to cruise down Main Street"
kinda vintage kid fun super COOL!

The only other one I've found on the web
was attached to a vintage Ansco toy wheel barrow.
It had the exact same wheel in a different color.
So these are perfect for replacement wheels for vintage Amsco toys.

So totally cool!
Bright yellow metal with that red pinstripe.
Thin rubber tread.
Hope through the middle of the wheel.
Wheel has a wider middle... slims near the tread.

Perfect for any number of art and repurposing applications.
Steampunk heaven!

Or just hand it on a wall! It's gorgeous!

Label: Amsco, Hatboro PA

These are from the old salvage store in Lower Manhattan. They're deadstock but were stored in a big old box down there and have some surface nicks, etc... from storage. Otherwise, totally great and unused!

Measures 7 1/2" in diameter.
23 1/2" circumference.
Rubber tread is 3/8" wide.
1 1/2" depth at center.

This listing is for ONE wheel - randomly chosen.
The rust patina on these varies and is totally individual on each.

(There are only two remaining.)

The shipping price is for shipping one. These are heavy wheels - thus the shipping price.

I always offer combined shipping.

Note: Most of the hardware items I'm listing came from an amazing hardware surplus store in lower Manhattan called Alexander's Hardware. It was a legendary 4 story warehouse full of the most extraordinary collection of antique hardware and bits and pieces of the strangest surplus stuff. Along with hundreds of NYC artists, I was friends with Artie, the wonderful wonderful owner and spent many an hour combing through his warehouse for these items, many of which I've used in my work. I feel certain that Artie would enjoy knowing I am passing these treasures along to other artists. He was as special as all his special odd and curious things and he is greatly missed. A tip of the hat to you, Dear Artie!
